Harrison was in charge of designing the type specimen, but I was always around and we made sure that we were constantly discussing decisions in order to create something we were both happy with. We took some design features from the example shown above that we felt would help us showcase our typeface. Here are some mock-ups that we made to test out our book:
We were happy with the overall lay-out and design of the book, and so Harrison completed it and we printed off another mock-up to see how the final thing would look (but this one is in black and white):
We were both happy with this as a final outcome, as it successfully showcased the typeface and all of its different features. We then printed the final thing and Harrison put it together. Here is a digital version as well as a gif to show the whole book:
