PostCards:
These are my first attempts at creating a lay-out. My plan is to create a design within Illustrator to just ensure that the shapes are all precise and accurate; I would then take this lay-out into Photoshop were I would manipulate my photographs using various methods and techniques.
These are my first attempts at creating my post cards. I think that, although it does work visually, there is too much going on. This reduces from the overall appearance of the design and think I will try to simplify the design somehow. I then decided to create a diamond shape using triangles. To do so, I decided that I would only include sections of the diamond within four of my designs; the last of my five designs would be the entire diamond. These examples show the transition between my original photograph and my final outcome in which I have edited the levels and curves in order to make my triangles stand out more.
These are my final diamonds. To make these, I have simply taken each different section from my four other designs and put them together to create the whole diamond. Once again, I have adjusted the levels and curve within Photoshop to make it stand out and become more bold.
To create the back of the Post-Cards, I took my final and whole diamond and reduced it in size. I then duplicated this numerous times in order to create a pattern from it.
